Access to Higher Education Diploma (Science) is an entry route into Higher Education.
Tailored specifically to lead onto degree level study in the land-based sector, this course will re-introduce you to the learning environment and develop your academic study and research skills.
You will study a range of land-based subjects at an advanced level. The course, which is equivalent to two A Levels, will prepare you to study at degree level at Reaseheath or elsewhere.
We are looking for people with ambition to go on to a higher level of study and a keen motivation to learn.
Please note that this course is only available to students aged 19 and over.
Maths or English at GCSE Grade C or above
Science at GCSE Grace C or above
(or equivalent qualifications)
Full-time: 3 days per week over 1 year, 10am-3pm
A range of land-based subjects are studied at an advanced level, over 1 year. The course, which is equivalent to three ‘A’ levels, will prepare you to study at degree level at Reaseheath or elsewhere. Qualifications and experience will be considered on an individual basis at interview.

Units may be subject to change due to awarding body criteria.
The course is designed to enable you to re-adjust to the learning environment and teaching is carried out through ‘student friendly’ lessons, assignments and practical activities. Students are assessed on their coursework by presentations, essays, practicals, research projects and exams.
Maths or English and Science at GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent qualification. Students will be assessed on interview.
This course is only available to students aged 19 and over.

The Access to Higher Education course prepares you for study at university level and is accepted by many institutions as an alternative to A Levels. Equivalent to two A Levels, this course can lead to a variety of rewarding careers.
Following completion, many of our students progress on to degree level study.
