Our achievement rates and progression into employment is due to the expertise of our staff and the superb support you will receive at the College, as well as, of course, the hard work and commitment of your fellow students.
As well as the qualification you are studying for, you will have the opportunity to build up your experience and CV with us, which will really help you when you are seeking employment.
Our core values are important to us and we will work together to deliver these.

We recognise, respect, promote and celebrate diversity.

We challenge ourselves to strive for the highest standards of quality and behaviour by adopting a supportive self-critical approach in our pursuit of excellence.
One of our core values is that “students and staff are at the heart of all we do”. We are committed to equality of opportunity and access to education, training and employment opportunities for all. This is irrespective of race, gender, disability or learning difficulties, age, religion or sexual orientation. We are committed to providing access to, and delivery of, high quality courses in a friendly supportive environment. Reaseheath will not, however, tolerate inappropriate behaviour from any member of its community and I ask that you help us maintain our high standards and values.

Your commitment to your studies and to becoming involved in the recreational and social elements of College life is key to your success and enjoyment. The more you put into your studies and to your time at Reaseheath the more you will get out of it. I am sure you will look back at your time in College as the most enjoyable time of your life.
During the next year we will be continuing with our capital investment programme that will provide us all with world class specialist teaching facilities and resources. There will be some construction work taking place on various parts of the campus. This will include an extension to the Higher Education Centre and the Learning Resource Centre. We will strive to ensure this will not disrupt your learning or enjoyment; however I do ask you to make sure you stay outside of the fenced construction areas for your own safety.
Each year student representatives are elected to the Student Association. Please consider giving your time to this important role and put your name forward for elections in the Autumn term. The Student Association plays an extremely valuable role in organising social, recreational and fund raising events.
I wish you every success during your time at the University Centre Reaseheath and I look forward to celebrating your success at our annual Graduation ceremonies.

Full-time UK/EU National Loans and Grants
Whilst studying there is help towards the cost of tuition fees, in the form of a Tuition Fee Loan which is a repayable form of support. This loan is not means tested and can be taken out to cover tuition fees for each year of study and is paid directly to University Centre Reaseheath.
In addition to the Tuition Fee Loan students can also apply for a Maintenance Loan. A Maintenance Loan is a repayable form of support. There is a maximum amount available of £8,430 if you are living away from home or £7,097 if you are living at home, depending on individual circumstances.
If your course started before 1st August 2016, you may be eligible for a grant to help with living costs. A Maintenance Grant is a non-repayable means tested form of support. The amount of grant available is dependent on a student’s household income, any funds you get will reduce the Maintenance Loan you will receive.
Both the Maintenance Loan and Grant are paid directly to the student.
If you have not yet applied you should do so immediately. Even if you are not planning to take out any financial support you should still apply to confirm your eligibility for UK/EAA fees.
If you have already been in receipt of a Tuition Fee Loan at levels 4, 5 or 6 as part of a previous Undergraduate programme, you may not be eligible for another Tuition Fee Loan and will need to gain advice from the student finance company relevant to your country of residence.
Click on the link below relevant to your country of residence to complete your application online:
Part-time UK/EU National Loans
You may be eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan for part-time study by Student Finance, the maximum amount available for your course depends on the course duration. However, if you live outside England, there can be subtle differences in the way student finance is governed. Further details can be found on student finance websites relevant to your country of residence.
Maintenance Loans for part-time students are available but how much you can get depends on:
The maintenance loan is paid directly into your bank account two weeks after the start of each term.
Professional Certificate programmes are not eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan and either have to be self-funded or funded by your employer.
If you have already been in receipt of a Tuition Fee Loan at levels 4, 5 or 6 as part of a previous Undergraduate programme, you may not be eligible for another Tuition Fee Loan and will need to gain advice from the student finance company relevant to your country of residence.
Repayments
You need to pay back Tuition Fee Loans and Maintenance Loans, but not other student finance, for example grants and bursaries. You still have to repay your student loan if you leave your course early.
For English and Welsh students who started an undergraduate course on or after 1st September 2012. You will start repaying when your income is more than £25,000. Further information regarding repaying your student loan can be found via https://www.gov.uk/repaying-your-student-loan/what-you-pay.
For Scottish and Northern Ireland students there will be an income level below which you will not have to make any repayments at all. The current threshold is £18,330 each year before deductions. The SLC will expect you to repay 9% of your annual income over £18,330. This threshold normally increases every year with inflation and a different limit may apply if you move to live in a country outside the UK. Further information can be found via http://www.saas.gov.uk/my_money/loan_repayments.htm or https://www.studentfinanceni.co.uk/student-finance-explained/repaying-your-student-finance/repaying-your-student-loan/#main.

If your employer is paying your course fees please provide this information through the online enrolment system or bring a letter from your employer to enrolment confirming this. Student Finance will invoice your employer once they have obtained a purchase order. If a purchase order number is not obtainable you will be invoiced directly for the outstanding fees.
