Jackie has a BA(Hons) in Library & Information Studies from Brighton University and is a Chartered member of the library organisation CILIP. Having worked in health, business and public libraries, Jackie joined Reaseheath as an Assistant Librarian, before taking over as manager of the library. Jackie has a PTLLS qualification and has presented case studies of library developments at external events.
Jackie is responsible for delivering and developing the library service to all students & staff, ensuring the resources that they need are available, and also delivers research support mainly to level 5 & 6 students, and sits on a variety of HE committees.
Jackie can often be found crocheting or dressmaking, usually with one of her cats nearby causing havoc, some tea and cake to hand.
Library Customer Service Assistant
Tom has a BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Birmingham. Having graduated in July 2019, Tom started at UCR library straight after uni.
Toms main focus in UCR Library is ensuring the customer experience – for staff and students – is as smooth, useful, and meaningful as possible. Tom manages the library’s online presence from social media to Sharepoint sites.
When Toms not working, he’s usually at the cinema, playing football, or performing with his band in Birmingham.
