Students and staff rallied together to raise funds for the charity by running activities including attempting the longest badminton rally, a cake sale, a giant card game, a hula hoop challenge, pool tournament and face painting.
Over thirty students took part in the four-hour badminton rally with a little help from Student Association Mascots Pride the lion and Daisy the cow. The students hope to raise hundreds of pounds in donations.
Reaseheath Student Association President Dan Lee said: “The badminton rally was loads of fun and proved our most popular fundraising activity today. It was a great to see students and staff supporting a great cause and enjoying themselves at the same time.”
The next fundraising event for Reaseheath Student Association is a can shake in Nantwich town centre, raising money for Reaseheath’s nominated ‘RAG’ (Raising and Giving) charity North West Cancer Research this weekend (19-20 November). So far students have raised £2,500 towards their target of £15,000.
