Assistant Principal and Dean of Higher Education
Jane completed her BA (Hons) in Business at University of Hertfordshire, PG Dip in Higher Education at Manchester Metropolitan University, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Further, Adult and Higher) at University of Huddersfield. Jane also completed CMI Level 5 Leadership and Management and Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma.
Jane has 18 years’ experience teaching, leading and managing HE in FE with extensive knowledge of curriculum management and design to deliver an outstanding student experience. Jane has built relationships with many large university partners and has focussed on the development of innovative and relevant curriculum. Jane is member of the AOC HE National Policy Group and is a very active member of the HE in FE community across the Northwest. Jane has regularly delivered sessions at both AOC and QAA National conferences championing the value and relevance of college-based Higher Education.
Jane has spent most of her career in Education within Greater Manchester and has been a key lead in the development of the GM Colleges collaborative activity to establish Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ), developing short courses to promote the Green Skills agenda and supporting the introduction of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement for all students.
Jane spent her earlier career with the Tourism Industry and produced international events for major operators such as Universal Studios, Airtours and First Choice.
As the Assistant Principal and Dean of Higher Education, Jane leads and manages the development, delivery and continuous enhancement of Higher Education at University Centre Reaseheath, and sits as a member of the Executive group of the College management team.
