As a student at University Centre Reaseheath, you will be spoilt for choice for places to study on campus outside of lessons. Whether you want to revise alone indoors, socially with friends, or out in nature, there are a huge range of places for you to choose from at UCR. Below are some of our favourites, although you may discover more while you’re here!
1. Our library.
With computers, desks, thousands of books, hundreds of e-books, millions of journal articles, dedicated staff to help you, and an upstairs area specifically for our University Centre Reaseheath students, our library is a clear choice for your study sessions, either alone or with your friends. Our library is open in term time and through most holidays, and is also open to UCR students during the evenings and on weekends.
2. Our study pods.
Designed as a quiet study space for up to four people at a time, our study pods, with a table, chairs and a TV screen, can be booked out by students when required. Perhaps you have a group project to complete, or you want to have a study session with friends? Our study pods are the perfect choice for you.
3. Our beautiful main lawn.
On warm sunny days, our main lawn is a brilliant place to study while overlooking our stunning lake and surrounding nature. We also have a number of picnic benches dotted around campus which are great for working outside in the sunshine.
4. Your accommodation room.
If you choose to live on-site in our accommodation, you will be able to study at your own desk and workspace which every room comes equipped with. This is a popular choice for students who like to study alone in peace and quiet.
5. Our Courtyard Café.
Created especially for University Centre Reaseheath students, our Courtyard Café is a great place for you to grab a coffee and catch up on your studies, either alone or with your friends. And when you need a break, why not wind down with a game of pool! We also have a range of other catering outlets across campus, so you certainly won’t be stuck for places to eat and study while at UCR.
