Lis started her career in the hospitality industry, she has a BA in Hotel and Catering Management. She later qualified as a teacher, initially specialising in Business Studies and ICT before becoming a Special Educational Needs teacher. Lis then started teaching in Secondary schools, progressed to FE in 2009 and now working in Higher Education. Throughout her teaching career she has been committed to supporting learners with additional needs, eventually becoming a SENCO. Lis has experience supporting students on a wide range of courses such as Supported Internships, Apprenticeships and classroom-based learning. She is committed to developing independence and a love of lifelong learning. She believes the right support at the right time is crucial to success in education.
