Nuturing. It's in Our Nature.

“There’s a completely different atmosphere between studying at Reaseheath College and at UCR. Life as an undergraduate is a lot more about self study, self reliance and gaining confidence. It feels more relaxed, but at the same time you’re supported to get your degree and to realise your ambition.”

“I’d like to go into the management of outdoor sports so I feel that my degree combines well with my previous diploma in adventure sports. I’m gaining a good understanding of marketing and finance, which are both very applicable to what I want to do in the future.

“I already have proven experience organising and running outdoor activities as a scout leader, but I’ve developed softer skills through joining the Student Association and working with fellow students. My course group is small but we’ve big ideas for events which we’re busy organising! One is a fund raising drive-in cinema evening at college

“One of the stand-out things for me has been the support I’ve received on a personal level. I’ve always had hearing issues but I became completely deaf while I was studying here.  The safeguarding and academic teams put themselves out to make sure I didn’t miss out on learning or social activities and my friends rallied round and were just amazing!”
