University Centre Reaseheath has been named as one of the top-performing land-based institutions in the country in the 2025 National Student Survey (NSS).
Students have praised the quality of teaching, academic support, and learning resources, with an impressive 93% of students saying that teaching on their course was good, while 97% felt well supported by staff — putting University Centre Reaseheath in first place among comparable land-based universities for both categories.
The also results show a strong year-on-year improvement across all seven NSS themes, with the greatest gains seen in the themes of ‘teaching on my course’, ‘assessment and feedback’, and ‘learning resources’.

It also sits in the top three for every remaining category, including organisation and management, and assessment and feedback. These scores also represent a significant increase on 2024 figures, including a jump from fifth to first place for teaching and from fifth to first for learning resources.
University Centre Reaseheath has outperformed the national average in six out of seven themes, underscoring the institution’s commitment to providing an exceptional student experience. It also saw a significant increase in survey participation, with a response rate of 82.5%, well above the national average of 71.5%.
These impressive course-specific results align with the broader institution-wide improvements and highlight Reaseheath’s overall commitment to delivering exceptional teaching, support, and learning experiences.
The NSS results reflect the efforts of University Centre Reaseheath’s teaching teams and support services to enhance the student experience and respond to student feedback.

University Centre Reaseheath’s response rate for the survey also increased this year, meaning the results are a strong representation of the wider student voice.
