Hi there, my name is Andrew and I am currently studying BSc Zoo Management (Top Up) at University Centre Reaseheath. I have been a part of Reaseheath for the last four years completing Access to Higher Education and FdSc Zoo Management, so I have lots to tell you about being a student and living on-site here!
Living at Reaseheath can seem like a big deal and in reality it is, but also the best reality I could have ever hoped for. The campus has such a great energy to it, both in the daytime while studying and working through lectures, as well as the excitement that is the Reaseheath night life.
A usual day at Reaseheath consists of what you would expect, you wake up and go to lectures, see friends in the café and chat about the nights and days before. As a university student you’ll spend most of the day in the UCR building but as a residential student, you also get to access your accommodation whenever you want (just so long as you attend lectures of course!)
When you’re a residential student here the environment is crazy. Like I said, the daytime is like your standard, chilled everyday educational purpose, but nights on campus? That’s when the Reaseheath experience really kicks in and the social life is at its finest.
The Student Life and Student Association really go all out with the social life making the Reaseheath experience the greatest thing here, with tribute acts and live acts, to having two bars on-site with one essentially becoming a nightclub-esque atmosphere on a weekly basis. It is probably the most fun anyone will have at their time at university. You can enjoy so much with your friends while making new ones from all over campus in one place.
For myself I’ve become more of a party animal the more I’m here, you’ll always see me go all out to whatever theme the student bar takes hold of in fashion and fancy dress. It’s all fun and games and the nightlife here and in Nantwich will always bring the party, and if that doesn’t then you better be ready to bring it yourself!
I am forever grateful for being able to live as a residential student at University Centre Reaseheath for the last few years as I have made so many friends and so many memories. It really is a wholesome community on a giant scale which I love being a part of!
