“Although I’ve been a florist for 32 years I’ve never stopped learning. I believe it’s important to keep your skills up to date and give yourself space to be creative. Having an original edge will always put you ahead of the competition.

“Professional qualifications are really important, which is why I first came to Reaseheath. I’d been a trainee florist for three years but I needed those benchmark standards to progress. Since then I’ve worked my way up in the industry, gained the Intermediate Certificate of the Society of Floristry independently and become a visiting floristry lecturer at Reaseheath!

“My biggest achievement was setting up my own floristry shop in 2020. I also decided the time was right to do my Level 5 Master Diploma, which is the highest level achievable. I’ve enjoyed returning to a learning environment and being in the company of other professionals. Most importantly, I’ve been encouraged to think outside the box and be inventive.”
